Southwood Baptist

Jesus commanded his disciples to go and preach the Gospel, the good news that Jesus had come to bring forgiveness of sins to all men. One of the primary goals of Southwood Baptist Church is to equip all believers to go and bring this good news to the world. In the Book of Romans, the Apostle Paul presented the Gospel like this:
 
1. Realize you have sinned against God. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
 
2. Recognize where sin leads. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death;”
 
3. Receive the Gospel. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
 
4. Repent of your sins. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
 
You can be saved, if you will pray a prayer like this: Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Christ died on the cross to pay for my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins and save me, in Jesus name, Amen.
